mrs madden makes........putting a heart back into a piece of fabric

I lovingly put a heart back into fabrics by bringing together rescued pieces to create new heirlooms for the home.

My speciality are fabulous aprons, extra long and with lots of pockets. I started making them because I couldn't find a really "Girly" apron that I would wear. I also had lots of vintage embroideries that were too nice to throw out but had lost the appeal of where to put them in my home. So I began incorporating them into my designs as pockets on aprons and panels on cushions - hence new heirlooms for the home.

I've recently added girls aprons with matching teddy/dolly aprons too. They have gone down extremely well at the craft fairs I have been at. Teddies are great cooks you know!!!

I also do bespoke orders. If you have inherited a piece of embroidery, tablecloth or linen and are not sure what to do with it, I would be more than happy to create a new item for you for your home. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and I will work out a design and cost for you.
